I just had mine done on 11/24/09 at 12:30 p. m. Before I went in, I was a bit nervous since this was my very first operation. I got to the hospital at 10:30, put on my gown, had an IV started on me and watched TV while I waited. As it came time for my surgery, they wheeled my into the operating room, had general anesthesia put on me and next thing, I woke up in the recovery area. It was just like a breeze. No pain afterwards. It was like I didn't have it. I went home that day.

I had it done three days ago - I was able to walk with no problem the same night but now I have a urinary tract infection which is being treated with antibiotics. It was not painful at all and I would recommend to anyone - just not sure if it will help with my anemia - as long as my period stops completely it will though!!!

you can have children, its advised not to use tampons for a month after proceedure, you might have some pain in the tip of your shoulders known as 'defered pain' du to the gas inflated inside. talk to your doctor or nurse about it :) (nurses are great for conversing ;))

This procedure is done under light general anesthesia. It does require cervical dilation. Usually in a surgical center.

If I am having this done as a same day surgery along with the edometrial ablamation (however you spell it) will I be asleep or just numb down there? And so this means there are no incisions everything is done through the cervix? Thanks just worried...it's already scheduled
