  • Thomas Hampson is still America's best baritone!! This concert truly epitomizes his professionalism and charm. I loved both songs, but enjoyed "The Boatman's Dance" most; it gives me shivers whenever he hits those beautiful high notes!

  • This is just sad to watch. Once a fantastique baritone, now reduced to a shadow of what he once was. sounds like has severe throat problems, there is no substance and alot of air. But amazing musicality, he still has that!

  • hampson is a genius.

  • Nice job!!

  • I just realized why you are so great!

  • Thomas Hampson is wonderful. So emotional, technically precise, and most importantly he communicates every word he sings. Shenandoah was my favorite of the two

  • WOW! This is like watching Hugh Grant sing ...and WHAT AN INCREDIBLE VOICE!

  • what a face!

  • I truly enjoyed these two American songs--true, Hampson was in a higher register than I've usually heard him sing (his voice has darkened greatly now. He's been a champion of the American Songbook & now is Artist in Residence @ NY Philharmonic). Tx for exposing me to "other" sides of his artistry which sometimes, I, too, vote down but not here for his choices!
