Disaster! ... drill

What appeared to be a disaster unfolding at Grant Union High School Friday, April 15, was just a drill to allow emergency responders to sharpen their skills. The exercise involved 16 Grant Union actors playing the part of injured students on a bus that had a collision with a dump truck. Members from the Grant County Sheriff's Office, Oregon State Police, John Day Police Department, John Day Fire Department, ambulance and ODOT crews were on scene.
