@WENZINRB The string pipes (violins, violas, cellos, etc.) can also be a bit difficult due to the pipe freins.
My friend Jerry Pell has a very nice Wurlitzer 125 restored by Alan Erb. Mr. Erb voiced the pipes very carefully, and the result is the sweetest-sounding 125 I've ever heard. You can see and hear it on Myspace. Go to the videos section and search for "Sierra Madre band organ rally" (or just "band organ rally").

@WENZINRB You could try asking someone like Bill Black, Tim Westman or Alan Erb about tuning the reed pipes (trumpets and trombones). They are finicky and can be hard to adjust if you don't know much about pipe organ voicing.

you can see on a website

Forgot to add - this song is "Surfin' Safari", The song "Surfin" is a different Beach Boys tune, the very first one they did.

Oh man, that is sooo cool to hear the Beach Boys on a old band organ. Pretty good arangement too, sounds pretty close to the original.

I love your organ it sounds great you should make a CD.
Do you take this to any band organ rallys?

I'm not geared up to take this organ on the road unfortunately. I do attend rallys on the east coast when I can. Thanks for the kind words, I'm still trying to make it better, I used other CDs (from Bill Black) to help get my organ to sound in the ballpark. It's not easy, at least for me.

P.S. I think the tuning on your organ needs some touching-up, but it's not too bad.

You are right. I try to tune it bit by bit, but never manage to get it all perfect. I do try but I must admit defeat in the short run.
