i went to their website and it said if you wanted food go to mountainhouse, which they own i guess. also said samples were for industries not individuals. whats up with that crap.

if they gave them out to everyone they would have no supply left. so people that want to buy large or bigger at least get samples. you can buy the same size can n there site. or bigger. its worth it for food that last over 30yrs vs 7-10 in a sealed bag.

I've never seen these little cans before. How long ago did you get those? Are they still available?

yes they are oregon or mountain foods has them. cans last much longer and hold more. if you want bulk they sell in sealed poly bags.

You had better taste it cause if you do have to eat it there probably will not be anyone to bitch at if it is bad. And buy a geiger counter and shotgun.(unless you live in Chicago whereas you are fucked)

I watched a program on the BBC (UK) earlier this week where the bloke created a simple contraption to freeze dry strawberries.

I make biltong (jerky in USA) and was curious whether the beef could be freeze dried as opposed to being air dried. Guess I'll never know unless I build myself a contraption like his.
