  • Can you give me a general diagram of the basic stilts. I really like how these make the wearer's legs look!

  • @Wolfgal16

My husband doesn't have a diagram. He just took an old pair of roller blades took the wheels off and bent a steel bar so it made a curve on the end. When he try to walk around on them they felt a little slick so he used and old pair of my shoes. He took the heels off and put this on the bottom of the steel where it touched the ground by using a bolt.

  • Did you place and mold the clay directly onto the stilt(Starting at 1:40)? I'm a little confused as how to make the negative and positive molds. I have a pair of stilts all made up, and I love the realistic quality you got from the material you used (which I'm not exactly sure what materials you did use O_O). Anyways, I guess what I'm trying to ask is: did yo have to make two different mold( a negative and positive) in order to make the skin for the stilts? If so, how exactly does that work?

  • @Zullala

I am not sure of all the answers. My husband did have to make a negative and postive. He first put press and seal (cling wrap) then put the clay on top. He molded the clay on one of the stilts put this in a box and poured in whatever that was ( i can't find the name of it right now) to make the negative. When that was done drying he took out the roller blad and poured in the silicon. waited for that to dry. then we pulled it back over the roller blade and painted and put the hairs on

  • can you tell me how did you do the stilts?

i am wondering if i should do mine in wood or metal?

  • i don't think wood would be strong enough, i use metal and old pair of roller blades, i just ben the metal and attached to roller blades
