My tribute to the drive-in movie intermission trailer. It's a blast from the past. Music THE CLOCK by the Contenders.

  • @skeeteatter Same thing with sporting events.

  • The way to shpw these again in driv ein or theatre is to clear the music rights from APM and Carlin and others, since "canned music" was used so often. Fortunately, as one John Kricfalusi [ has proven it is possible, but not as easy as just subring to Capitol, whcih used to supply this. [It's the reason that intermission clips sounds like an old Jay Ward or Hanna-Barbera cartoon or Columbia Pictures sitcom, to audiences then aS NOW.]

ANd today my mother and I sitll dress whereever we go..you should see us at Regal@La Habra, Orange County,Calif. Never without sweaters on..we look like we came out of years ago..

  • @magicjoybox LOL! So true---the good old days weren't always good.

  • Before moving to Taiwan I lived right down the road from a drive-in, I really liked it a lot and would go often..but then my car started stalling, forgot to bring mosquito repellent most nights, carrying the refreshments back to my car turned into a bit of a problem, and someone reversed into my car because it was dark and they didn't see it

But still, I loved going and do miss it, especially Thursday nights "full car $5" admittance night~ take 5 people it's a $1 each for 2 movies! But sitting

  • @skeeteatter: It's obviously staged to a certain extent for the benefit of these promos. But, for the most part, you are correct IMO.

  • @skeeteatter

The difference is that we no longer respect each other. Seriously. We just don't care about each other. I mean, when's the last time you gave someone change at starbucks because they were short 25 cents or something? I'm just using that as an example.. I mean down in this part of the country, it's more common, but not in other places, like the Los Angeles, Baltimore, etc.

Same morals. Better at hiding it. :) haha

  • Thank You for posting this video.
