I`ve played on the bandstand in the lake a couple of times with York Railway Institute Band and recently with Shepherd Group Concert Brass Band we had to make sure everyone went to the loo before being taken over on the "Swan boat " to play as there is no toilet out there !

me to, i rember making it to the tree walk island at night, there was glowing lights with rabbits on it, and Little glass cabinet with pretend flea circus in.i was a kid then to its like a dream. seemed like another world .and the boats where great

Nice park - saw it on Britain's Best Drives with Richard Wilson - then went there in June '09 - very good.

Used to love this park when i went as a kid in the late 70,s early 80,s ,do thet still have the tree walk on the island lite up at night
