This video offers a glimpse of our thinking and early implementation of extending Visual Studio to allow programmers to write code in C# or VB.NET using mostly speech recognition. We believe that this unique approach could be a real boon for handicapped programmers, temporary suffers of RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury), or programmers who just want to program while lying on the beach.

  • lmao, how does it recognize your speech when you talk like a deff retard

  • I was searching for something like this as I'm a programmer who works way too much and my hands are starting to hurt :|

It would be nice to maintain productivity while reducing keyboard load.

Good work and definitely would be interested to see this product on the market.

  • I think a lot of people are looking at this the wrong way- it should not become a replacement for the keyboard, but a tool to work alongside it.

I expect there are keyboard shortcuts for this sort of thing, but I particularly like the idea of using commands like 'embed try-catch'. I think that used properly this could be an absolutely fantastic tool

  • This is fantastic! I use speech recognition and am trying to use VS with it--it doesn't really work at all.

I'll be the first in line to buy when this implementation goes to market.

  • For those who suffer from RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury) and want to program, this video is a GodSend. This will help reduce RSI when working w/keybd. Don't knock his progress! Thank you for your Video!!

  • if the speech recognition where MUCH better then big maybe but not likely.

For me, no way in hell when it comes to programming.

Creating a program with many 100 000 of lines of code using speech commands,

i'm not seeing that happening anytime soon.

btw using speech recognition for a long period of time will affect your language skills in a bad way

  • Interesting idea, I'm not sure that I (or any commercial body) would buy this as it doesn't seem very practical, but at the same time it would be a great way to jot down some code snippets.

  • Totally useless

  • This is sweet! I would definitely buy it once it had a little polishing!
