Tree Falls on Car While Deland Woman Sitting In It

On Apr 4 2011, this couple was leaving to go to a doctors appointment. He pulled the car to the end of the driveway then got out to move his truck, just as a tree fell on his wife waiting in the car. He pulled her to safety then went to the hospital, leaving the firemen and rescue workers at the house. It was then determined that the neutral to the house had energized and all the wiring to the panel was burning. Left unchecked, the house may have burned as well. The woman sustained only minor scrapes and bruises, the county removed the tree, the electric has been restored and the car is a total loss...
