Fall Foliage 2007

The leaves have started to change color in Pennsylvania. This year I used a tripod to cut down on my shaky camera work. The title should be easier to read and I added some falling leaves animation (still needs a lot of work).

The music is a Debussy MIDI file which I assigned synth instruments to play. Blame the Copyright Nazis if you don't like it. :)

After Effects makes it easy to do animation. It has animation presets for text effects. The leaves were a bit difficult because I had to create an alpha channel to make their backgrounds transparent.

AH! OK I just knew it was not gonna be something meer mortals would have. lol But at least I feel better now knowing it is totally out of reach. I thought maybe you were using some special png picture and pushing it into movie maker with xml which would be awsome.

You can get After Effects 6.5 pretty cheap on eBay because it is not the current version. But it does have a steep learning curve. It has taken me almost a year to learn AE.
