It's the experiences that us "normal" people have of you that causes our dislike and abhorrance. During my time living next to a temporary pikey camp, I had the following: 1) The petrol was sucked out from every car on the road one night. They used a screwdriver to punch a hole so it cost a lot to fix. 2) The pub was done in on the last night before the pikeys left. 3) The pikey kids stole and killed the pet chicken from an old lady's garden across the road.
