    Its not like that at all. I am an American who worked in Britain under a work visa. My british frien d, Dave developed brain cancer. He wasn't put on a five year waiting list. He was seen to right away.

  • @GreatWhiteNorth82

    I understand the Canadian system. I think its great.

  • what always makes me laugh is the whole concept of death panels. health care rationing does exist, but the difference is in america the people doing the rationing are insurance companies with a profit motive, and in canada it's done by doctors. who do you think would pull the plug on granny first?

  • I gotta say, as a guy that know s the Canadian system inside out. You brainwashed American fear mongers are pathetic.

    At least try to understand the Canadian system before spreading lies and myths, at least then you could spread almost believable lies and myths.

    You people make yourselves look completely uneducated and irrational. It's kind of laughable, though.

  • @8thRRFS Doctors in Canada recommend the best treatment possible 100% of the time, because they answer to no one, and the province will always pay the bill.

    Under Canadian health care laws, the provinces cannot pick and choose what to pay for. They pay, no questions asked. That's the law.

    In the US, the insurance companies dictate what a Doctor can and cannot do. More often than not, they pick the cheapest procedures. Obamacare kind of fixes that, to a point.

  • @8thRRFS On the contrary. In Canada, the relationship is between the Doctor and patient. Doctors in Canada don't work for the government, they work for private practices. The government has nothing to do with Doctors. Doctors are paid by the practice.

    In the US, the patient has a relationship with a Doctor and the insurance company. The insurance company ultimately decides your treatment.

    Nice try fear mongering, though. You clearly have no clue.

  • @FIXWCBCANADA Exactly. Socialized medicine means rationed care and govt. bureaucrats determining what medical treatment you can get. And don't you want to wait 2 years for a heart operation? I don't. Stop Obamacare-NOW!

  • CANADA HAS A GREAT HEALTH CARE SYSTEM, UNTIL YOU NEED MEDICAL CARE, THEN YOU ARE SCREWED;

    UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE SOUNDS GREAT IN THEORY, UNTIL YOU NEED HELP, THEN YOUR SCREWED;

    SOME POWERFUL PEOPLE IN CANADA ARE SPEWING LIES;

    THEIR'S SOME FANTASTIC HEALTH CARE IN CANADA, WATCH W5 ABOUT DR. AUSTIN, AND HOW THE COLLEGE OF PHYSICIANS AND SURGEONS PROTECTED HIM AFTER ALL THE WOMEN HE BUTCHERED;
