Ok, I see all the haters towards Andy Beyer, and I'm stunned. If you've studied horse racing at all, this guy has REDEFINED how we handicap races, and we do it successfully now in large part because of the Beyer Speed Figures that he invented, and are now an integral part of the Daily Racing Form. He's also a brilliant writer, has a great sense of humor and has made a great living over the years by betting on his beliefs. How many of you can say that? Go read his book, Picking Winners!

Andy Beyer just does not know a good horse when he sees one. And I agree with Kurt Hoover, 100% about Pepper's Pride, A win, is a win is a win, and what she accomplished is amazing, state bred races or not. So one more to beat the record!!

Andy Beyer is a has been loser. He is so mad that all of his predictions regarding her have not come true. He picked her to lose last year in the BC, still doesn't think she is that good and moreover he is mad that he still can't figure out how to evaluate the aritificial surface.
