Yeah, so I wrote a sea chantey. It's meant for when there is no wind, since it's talking about rowing and it's so bleedin' long. Anyway, I think the lyrics are entertaining, so here they are:

The Heart of Neptune's Wench
By Ty Howe

This is the tale of a pirate feared by seafarers far and wide
Known to keep Death himself at bay with a cutlass at his side
In his youth he was a lanlubber, worked for pay, but he turned to the life of plunder one day
And you ask what made him change that way, and this is what they say

Row, swabbies, row!
Row, swabbies, row!
Til the Captain says that its time to die!
Row, swabbies, row!

The story starts with a beautiful lass, with green eyes like the sea.
Her name was Jessie or Neptunes Wench, and a man eater was she
But she saw a man breaking up a brawl in his tavern and he beat them all
And she sat at the bar and winked at him, but her first drink wasnt free!(Chorus)

She asked him if he knew her name and he said hed heard a tale or two
She then asked why he had no fear and he laughed, Ill throw you out, too!
Amused, she threatened to call her crew, for they numbered many more than few
And he calmly said, It would take more men than could fit inside this room. (Chorus)

She stood and said shed call his bluff with more dogs than he could count
He said hed wait right there to see how many hearties shed bring round.
They found him in that empty room with tankards and his strongest brew
And he said hed challenge every one of them to a tavernmasters duel.(Chorus)

Now a pirate cant say no to drink, so when they sat he poured the first round
Not one could beat that tavernkeep and he drank them to the ground
So Jessie drew her sword for a drunken fight, but even tanked he mustered too much might
And he bested her then put in her hand her crews bill for the night. (Chorus)
She laughed and said, Enough is enough, and he helped her to her feet
She told him that a man like he was never did she meet
So they went for a walk as the crew slept on and she told him of her love for the seas freedom
And they both realized theyd met their match and Jessies heart was won(Chorus)

Her first mate was the bitter type, with his pistol he did hide
Jessies heart took the bullet meant for the man that took his pride
Her last breath bore a wish that he would take her place out on the sea
And he looked into her eyes and said, A pirates life for me.(Chorus)

First he hunted down the man that robbed him of his love newfound
He found him in a dark room with his loyal dogs around
He tied him down and he killed the rest so they all fell down onto his chest
Twelve dead men on a dead mans chest made the traitor breathe no more(Chorus)

He took to the sea with blood on his hands, his fortune for to find.
He named his ship the Jessie with Poseidons Lady in mind
With his crew he ventured far and wide and he buckled all the swash that he could find
And he shivered their timbers til they splintered and died and the Jessie was his pride!
