haha. Eleot says "starving punk head" ?! Where the fuck have you been, punk is actually pretty huge. New York Dolls, Iggy, Ramones are all honored by mainstream music. Punk has had a huge impact on 80s alternative indie, grunge, garage revival of the early 00s. So yeah, i think your picture of a shunned genre is pretty much nonsense.
