I do not understand this guy going around & putting down Joel Osteen. I have watched Joel for years, & I understand his message to be that of completely trusting in God & Jesus; that God will direct your steps, & that you can have your best life, now, not meaning that life with God won't be better, but that NOW is what you have, & that if you have God guiding your life, you will have joy & peace NOW.
Being poor is not a Christian requirement. Not trusting in riches is. Put first the kingdom.

These are the nicest, most patient cops I've ever seen.

if this guy wasn't white this conversation would of been over in less than a minute wow....

You wouldn't want people on your lawn which is part of your personal property which you leased from the landlord. In this case the city is the landlord and the private company has the right to say what goes on inside and outside of the arena within the boundaries of the property. The simple thing to do is to go to the other side of the curb as requested. I must say both sides kept calm and peaceful which many do not and I give a high five to Jerry and to the Officers for staying calm.

I can see both sides. Jerry wanting to interview individuals at a public event and the police staying within the law. From my experience as long as we are on a public "right of way" like streets and sidewalks then have the right by law to express our thoughts and opinions in a peaceful manner. The property is owned by the city but leased to a private company. It's like an individual leasing an apartment. That property becomes "HIS/HERS" under certain agreements.

You are such a horrible witness. My father was a minister of the Gospel with the true heart of Christ. While you are wasting everyone's time and being, overall, a general pain, he would have probably lead those police officers to Christ. The young man in the Nike sweatshirt clearly needs Christ. When you encountered him, that camera should have gone off, that mic should have been out of his face, and you should have brought him to the Lord. Your focus is all wrong.
Jerry, my understanding of truly PRIVATE property (such as a mall) is that they must allow public access for free speech since they allow the public on their property. The sports arena--being PUBLIC owned property, leased to a private entity, should at least do that much. However, public access is "controlled in time and place" at locations such as a mall, so I'm sure the sports arena would do the same. For further info, check with Daniel Beaudoin (he's on facebook).

I've been to a half dozen malls, numerous times with permits. S.D. Airport with permit as well. I think the casino probably has the right to not allow tracting of any kind. They must be considered a townsquare as such, like malls but not memberships like Costco. We did cease to hand out tracts and went outside their leased area. However, it seems the ability to simply speak with someone with their permission would be allowed. Even so we left.
