  • Thank you for this, I am server, and failed miserably the other day, at a wine presentation for my boss (yikes)... This really helped clear it all up, ty soo much :)

  • man, the girl is hot!

  • had to watch this twice i had no idea what he was saying too focused on the girl super hot does that make me creepy? lol Fantastic video by the way very informational thanks alot

  • This is such a good video

  • her reactions are LOL.

on a serious note this really halped me understand what wine tasting is more about - i feel more confident thank you

  • i believe the twist is the proper way to take care of that...at least that's what my instructor taught us during professional beverage service

  • Sometimes when I finish pouring some wine drips down the bottle. It's kind of humiliating when that happens.

Any advice on how to prevent that? I've seen some servers carry a cloth or they twist the bottle but what's the proper way?

  • Some wine is great with the Stelvin Closure, however there many wines that would not benefit from that type of closure. For example, if you have a bottle with a recommended bottle aging of 10-12 years before consumption, than a cork closure is the better solution. But there are many benefits to the "screw-cap" as you call it in the white wine category! Cheers!

  • Excellent.

    Thank you very much.

  • great job! most wait staff don't know how to serve wine. this video should be mandatory for restaurant training.

one exception: the host is not always the one who orders (and hence)is presented with the wine. the person who orders the wine is the person who the wine is presented to.
