This is a pre-WotLK event, the Scourge attacks Org, a similar event happens in Stormwind for the Allis, but imma Hordie.

Actually he just leaves and leaves Garrosh in charge while he's away (noone knows why he leaves, but the most common rumor is because he's becoming a Guardian of Tirisfal. IMO, that's BS.)
