  • It is really a matter of being pragmatic. See Testing for HC BPPV video. There will be nystagmus L and R. If it is geotropic and transient (ie canalithiasis) you can initially assume it is on the side with the strongest Sx or nystagmus.

  • How can youy tell if its l or r?

  • My wife has just been diagnosed with this type of vertigo. We had been doing the Eppley with not much success. She is going to a specialist who said it is in the Horizontal canal. She already seems better.
