this is my new sony a300. its my first dslr. i saw other ppl post their unboxing vdoz on youtube and have always wanted to post mine. so here it is.

I bought this camera in Jan 09 and I've loved it since then. I hate that this is my last year with it as my primary camera and it will now be just my standard tote camera. I'm replacing it with the new a560 this year and I can't wait to get it this summer. I upgraded my kit lens to the 16-105mm lens, it's a heck of a lot better and the 75-300mm lens I'm upgrading to the 70-300 SSM G lens. They're perfect upgrades for both of those lenses. (=

thumbs up for the 16-105mm lens. I wish I could afford that right now ! I'm more into macro photography myself and am looking for an used macro lens as well.

I paid $900 including all taxes.. and I got the camera, extra lens, carrying bag, extra battery o and the 8GB Flash card. well it was Summer 2009 anyways.

@sajeeds05 Same here, I was going to go with the 50mm macro but some prefer the 30mm since it's more of an up-to-date build over the 50mm which is a bit dated. I'm not sure what I'll add but I'll soon add one of them,

Nikon would of been better..... omg the 18-55mm F/3.5-5.6 SAM lens would of been so much better for wide angel shots i hate that lens with a passion.the 18-70mm that is ... i got mine and smashed it with a hammer.. auto focus stopped working within a month of getting my a200.  and by the way live view defeats the purpose of DSLR cameras. its a load of shit. if u wanted live view might as well buy a point and shoot.
