In practically each shot, I am using full optical zoom. Soon after the plane starts rolling, I start zooming in gently. Btw: I take the fact that you didn't notice it as a big compliment.
For example, in the NW DC10-shot, I'm at full zoom at 32 seconds.
The end of each shot in the movie is about 2 frames away from where the fence would become visible but I specifically chose not to show that fence because I find it totally annoying.

Video taken at the very beginning of the runway. At that point, you can hear the engines spool up.
As the plane starts rolling, it becomes smaller and smaller and when it actually leaves the ground, it's more than a mile away. It's view is blocked by gates/fences. If you choose to see footage from a small, hazy dot, leaving the ground while a fence it's blocking it's view: look elsewhere. That's not my idea of a good video.
