one thing i noticed man, the sng CC does not stick like the regular version. The regular lego's ive handled , the lockbar sticks sooo bad. then I got a CC and never had that problem?

Agreed. For such an overbuilt knife, SNGs and SMFs are amazingly fast. So thank heaven for that stud as it feels great and helps the process...

Thanks alot macjmillsx! youv been a lot of help. and also thanks for giving me all the details. its hard to part from my sng for repair, especially that its brand new! but as you said, 5- 7 days. im not from the US so it will take longer than that. i bet its worth the wait. Best warranty in the biz! thats good enough for me!

Send it in to Strider, they will make it right. Turn around will be about 5-7 days and your knife will look so new you won't even recognize it!! Send it to: SKI, 120 N. Pacific St. Unit L-7, San Marcos, CA, 92069. Be sure to include a note letting them know what you want done to the knife and $15 for return shipping... You won't be disappointed, Strider is best warranty in the biz!

iv been playing with my sng non stop and now the lock seems to have been broken in.however, every time i disengage the lock, i dont feel any friction at all. and if you try to rock the blade, there already is a slight vertical blade play. this sucks!! help!

It will get smooth eventually.. the stiff break in is one of my favorite things about getting a new Strider! In a few months that knife will be like butter.
Thought I would add the "official" word on the stud issue straight from Mick. It is definitely not designed for opening and is meant only as a blade stop. As many know the SMF is the parent and it was designed as you mentioned for operators who are wearing gloves most always. I can speak from personal experience that studs in general are a nightmare with glove use in tactical scenarios. The blade slot is awesome for both gloved opening and IMObare hands as well for strong purchase to snapit open

Once it's broken in a well calloused "Strider thumb" can flick the blade open blindingly fast using the bladestop, that being said, I agree.. the stud is a bladestop and the hole is the intended means of deployment.
