this is exactly what i was looking for. im thinking of bringing this idea a step further. in stead of having the gear on one axle, why not make it work of different ones? that way one 2 motors working together can work an infinite number of wheels. for us who cant buy a many sets, but want a large number of actions. im so taking this further :D

I build a machine with remote controlled speed like this with Power Functions...
it was the same concept but with more pieces lol... go see it on my channel :P

I had it without motors, but I have seen such a geartrain with 5 (!) gears, but I could not build it.

NICE I had a very similar design as it seems to work the best that way I just never had the collection big enough to build a fully functioning one like that, Hats off to you sir, and that last one while it stands for improvement, I like where it's going good luck to you.
