On the other hand i agree with what the people opposed to the plan are saying about the oil and gas drilling. Oil and gas drilling could and would harm wildlife, biodiversity and recreation in the park; and I agree that the Mineral rights should not be in privet ownership!

funny how 30 years later and this fight is still going on. With my education in forestry i actually understand what the supporters of the plan are saying. If the forest is harvested correctly it would make the forest healthier and be more productive for wildlife and recreation wile making money for the park at the same time. By properly managing sunlight in the forest you can allow for better/healthier growth.
