@RCTV2011 : the main alu landing gear as well as all 3 wheels are from hobbyking, the front gear ist made of steel wire and easily available standard components

can i ask you what type of performance / flight time you get with 2 brushless motors off 1 4000mah lipo battery? do you use 2 speed controllers? do you use a separate receiver battery? thinking to go brushless with my twinstar II, but worried the performance will be too much and too unrealistic for this model??

the BL took appr. 23A each at full throttle. But most of the time, like in the video I flew half throttle for a better scale optic.

I used 2 Speed controllers , 2 1600 kV BL 200W and 7x5 props from APC and was very content with this setup. But be careful: never fly to the point of the cut off voltage of the controller because one of the controllers switches off earlier than the other causing problems with the steerability of the plane

what size uder cart is that you use?

thank you! I used 6,5 cm rubber wheels from hobbyking. for a better scale optic you can use a twin front whell with 4,5cm diameter. Also the 1600kV BL motors and the two 30A speed controllers are from hobbyking.

hmm i have the earlier version of this plane with similar setup. I run 2 brushless motor and 2x30 amps speed controls and 5 servos, one of them is digital. Strangely my max amp for both of them is only 25. Also i fly on 2200mah lipo and i get around 10 minutes of flight time. I can go longer but i fear one of the motor might shut down. Btw it is possible to fly on only 1 motor. I have done it. You just need to strongly compensate using rudder.

thanks for the info. did you have 2 4000mah lipos then? i would imagine the flight time on 1 lipo would be very short especially when not allowing the voltage to drop to the cutoff. goo point about the cutoffs - it is impossible to trim this plane to run on one motor!
