hey, great video thanks for posting.
at the end when i go to File > Save i get a message saying "Your image should be exported before it can be saved for the following reasons: JPEG plugin cant handle transparency"
Is this normal?

Almost all of GIMP users encounter this and this should be nothing lol don't worry its normal. Just click on export to proceed. Thank you for your enquiry.

@ABeautifulLie1910 Hi there! Beforehand, did you go to Layer > Transparency > Add alpha channel? If you didn't select that, it will be a white background
