  • No. See the open thread on Google support forums.

  • Actually, a well designed phone should never drop 30dBm signal strength simply by holding it differently. The issue I was trying to illustrate is that you get good 3G connectivity when barely touching the phone, but as soon as you cover the back with the palm of your hand, 3G is gone. Most people hold their phone in their palm when using apps or dialing the phone. With the N1 you have to put the phone on the table or risk losing network connectivity.

  • FYI: Most phones have the antenna located at the bottom, to keep radiation away from your brain, and yet most of them manage to hold a signal even when you press them against your face with your hand.

  • Google Phone's death grip problem persists!

  • @flinchless not the whole android world and there are many many more out there. just the hardware of the phone.

  • @flinchless *sprays you with troll-be-gone*

  • this is why I sold my nexus one for the iPhone , android is not good in the clutch when you really need it.

  • You retards realize that a lower negative number of dBm is better right?

Also -80 is considered 5 bars on the iphone.
