SANYA RICHARDS NIKE SPOT ABOUT BEHCET'S DISEASE

This spot was created by Nike with Sanya Richards, Olympic Gold Medalist Sprinter and Behcet's Sufferer. Sanya is the official spokesperson for the American Behcet's Disease Association and an Honorary Board Member. Sanya suffers from only a few symptoms and was fortunate to be diagnosed early. With treatment, she has been able to continue her training and winning in the 400m individual and 4x400m relay. We thank her for speaking out about her courageous battle and for sharing her enduring optimism and faith.

Awesome video ... 2009 I was 100% confirmed with behcets disease after years of unknown suffering. Proper medication now has allowed me to take control of my life again, I know the signs, I know when to stop and slow down. I live by what Sanya said '.... no I am stronger this, no I am better this, no I am faster than this, no I am tougher than this, I think you can make it thru situations you never thought possible'. Sanya Richards you are an inspiration!

I have had Behçet's Disease for 7 years now. I am so grateful for people like Sanya who are raising awareness for this rare condition --- and she is absolutely right; she IS an inspiration for us when we are suffering!!!!
