I wrote this poem when I was 16. I really like this one, and I hope you do as well. The photographs were all taken in Ireland. The one of the stairwell was taken inside of Carrickfergus Castle. =)

Isolation

As he walks
down the hall,
people turn and stare.
When he passes by,
the whispers are hushed.
Behind him he hears
the muffled laughter
of these empty shells.
The air is filled
with a thick
haze of arrogance.
Rushing to his next class,
he chokes on the fog.
He sits alone
in the corner, silent.
The looks in their eyes-
sharp knives carefully
stabbing,
cutting,
slicing him.
Their words of hatred-
hot, sticky flames of acid,
slowly eating through
his skin and into his soul.

Day after day
he sat through this
hellish torture.
So when he picked up
the gun,
and the shot rang out,
he felt no pain.
For they had already
killed him
long before.

  • Thanks! I am glad that you enjoy my poetry, as I do yours (it just wouldn't let me leave a comment right then). =)

  • yoo go see Blunty... then come back... and it's all knives and guns and death...

    Coincidence?

    (Loved the poem though)

  • I don't really know which videos you are refering to of his, but that's ok. I just happened to deside to post this poem yesterday. I wrote this poem not to be gruesome, but rather to tell a story..

I am glad you loved it! =)

  • sorry, I was being INCREDIBLY dense (even by my fairly low standards) and getting you mixed up with Katz... don't ask me how, I have no idea.

    Sorry :/

  • Ooh. I thought you were saying I should go check out his videos.. No worries. I am still glad you loved my poem all the same. =)
