Video demoing the first two Cg shaders integrated into my graphics engine.
The first effect you see is Refractive Environment Mapping which takes the incoming ray of light, bends it based on the refractive index of the object (the car in this case) and spits it out the other side into the camera.
The second effect (0:30) is Chromatic Dispersion which is a mixture of reflection and refraction, as you move up and down you can see the incoming light splitting into its component colours (red, green and blue here) as refraction occurs. There is also reflective environment mapping on the object. This is a nice effect for glass and crystal.
