Gran Turismo 5 - Historic Racing Car Cup - Côte d'Azur

It may not be the most awesome driving but this is how I won the awfully difficult Historic Racing Car Cup. Just BLOCK and BLOCK that darned Chaparral 2J 'sucker car' cuz it handles turns like it's on rails. Take the inside line when turning as much as possible. Video tend to be crappy as it is recorded via a cam. Polyphony Digital did not implement the direct Youtube upload yet, and I'm hoping they will in the future.

I won this with the green car that runs in the race...not sure of the name of it though and not at home to look and see what it is. I remember keeping my top speed around 120 somethin so I had better acceleration, and really high number on the camber. I didn't have to block at all and was able to pull away from the 2j car...now if only my AI driver would drive like I do...still haven't beat B-Spec yet....

The only car that works for me in beating the Historic Racing Car Cup event in B-Spec is the Chapparal 2J. I bought it for a sweeping 14M credits. Now I'm broke but at least I beat it. If I'm not mistaken, the prize car for this is Alfa Romeo GIULIA TZ2 carrozatta da ZAGATO CN.AR750106 '65. Awesome car by any means.

I find it easy to get to 20 Million if you do a couple of grinding. Dream Car Championship (not the individual tracks) can net you a million in an hour.

It's worth 20 Million if you buy it or you can take advantage of the birthday glitch. But I don't really recommend the latter though.

@TurkSDSU That's the problem, I've got the toyota7, which dominated on Deep forest, but can't do anything on Cote d'Azur

@dirty876 try skipping on completing this race for a lil while and win the toyota 7 in later races then come back and race it in B-Spec, you'll win it easily

@SuperKingNova the trick is to het in front fast and early, after that, take the corners real easy, don't put stress on the brakes. They won't be able to pass you because the Cote D'azur track is to narrow
