  • great video!!! its the first time i see it, you can really see that people don't really care for the planet, and i don't know if they are really not affected by high gas prices or they just don't care, and you live in the USA!!! people are supposed to be more bike and eco friendly, i am in a cycling group in the place where i live, and we bike almost every day on different parts of the city to try and make people conscious of the benefits of cycling, great vid!!!

  • @kokexj - Thank you. I am very concerned that about 20 percent of the people in my country have gone completely insane.

  • Some of the scariest bits are the narrow, winding country lanes with no shoulder & trees right up to the edge of the pavement. Still drivers will swing out on a blind corner rather than wait a few seconds. Probably believe crashes can't happen to them. What's the posted speed on those roads?

  • @fourseasoncyclist - People around here act like such crybabies. They are mostly grown up spoiled trust fund kids behind the wheel of 500 horsepower Mercedes who are so used to getting everything they want they would risk lives rather than wait two seconds. Beleive it or not the speed limit on the narrow road is 25 MPH!

  • you know i really have to hand it to bicycle commuters, if i didnt have such a long drive, and so much gear to carry (Sheet metal apprentice, 45 pound tool bag) i would definately bike. on TWO seperate occasions ive pulled over to help a cyclist that got knocked over by some asshole who hasnt read a law book. i honestly believe that, rather than offering a break on insurance (at least in my province) a defensive driving course should be MANDATORY to get a drivers license.

    Keep it up Socom

  • Thanks man!

  • I love how drivers think that cyclists are sub-human. And I love the argument "you dont have to pay to be on the roads" I would glady support the idea of licencing and bike tax but then drivers would just find something else to bitch about. Its like they dont understand that cyclists have a life outside of the bike. Me im an aviation mechanic. I have a car that is insured and requires gas and care just like everyone else. I just chose to drive a small fuel efficient one :) people are dumb

  • dude where do you live your commute looks so shitty! I would hate to have the commute you do! Stay Safe!

  • @socomcorky well then ride on the fuckin sidewalk and stop bitchin....its only illegal if your stupid enough to get caught and if theres no sidewalk then hug the right side of the road! Also ofcourse ppl are gonna get frustrated when they have to go into an ONCOMING lane of traffic just to go around you...hate to break it to u but u were no where near the posted speed limit and i'd be pretty pissed if i was stuck behind u in a car.

  • @chevylover9340

I can only speak for germany: it´s illegal here and statistics says, its up to eleven times more dangerous to drive on the sidewalks or even bikeways on the sidewalks than on the road. for the bikers and the pedestrians.

i think in america its the same as here: on a bicyle you have the same rights on the road than a car driver. and the cardrivers dont respect these rights.

anyway you cant drive a roadbike on the sidewalk.

  • OMG. Well the speed limit seems sensible but the enforcement sure doesn't! How fast are these spoiled puppies going in these vids? Have these been brought to the attention of the local police / sherrif's office? I'm sure the cops know how fast they drive in those sections, but are they aware of the reckless behaviour that goes with it?

  • And isn't that a shame? But driving is a privilege not a right, and part of the responsibility that goes along with it is supposedly valuing another human life more than a few seconds of your time. Question - when it becomes impossible to move around your city without a motor vehicle, and given the constitutional right to travel, will the state be able to require a license and insurance, or even prohibit someone from driving?
