Opening Sequence - "The Rock", Michael Bay, 1996

One of the most powerful openings to a film I have ever seen. Brigadier General Hummel of the USMC acts out violently over the callous treatment of the surviving next-of-kin to United States marines.

Had this opening not been shown, we could have thought Hummel was just a petty mercerany. however knowing his reasons, we feel the need to side with him and being torn between 2 rights..
