I am testing 4 preheat 2 pin PL lamps. The twin tube ones or single U are known as PL-L's and the quad or twin U ones are known as PL-C's, at least that is the name I know them as. I am doing a 2700K (warm white) Uspar quad, a 4100K (cool white) Philips quad (Philips quad's being my personal favorite,) a 5000K (slightly lower than daylight) GE Biax and a generic Ace branded 7000K (I call them ice cold, there's no official name I know of) single U PL-L lamp all in a screw in PL adapter which is inside the pyramid lamp, showing variations of the colors and each brand's/type's startup blinkage. Afterwards, the 4100K philips quad, my personal favorite, goes back to the pyramid lamp. Comments welcome. Enjoy!

  • Let Me Re Fraze That, The Philips Quad Can Be Found At Home Depot.

  • Not the one by where I live, and when it did, was just the warm white ones. And for the Sylvania PL's, all I can say is stay away from those as their tips break very easily.
