Hearing dogs, as well as all other assistance dogs, have the same access rights as Guide Dogs. This short film will give you an insight into the kind of devastation being refused access with an assistance dog can cause. You will hear from Hearing Dogs for Deaf Peoples' Access and Inclustions Manager as well as hearing dog recipients who have experienced first hand refusal of entry to places.
people need to lighten up, if these dogs truly help people, then who are we to tell them to leave? and yes i'm allergic to dogs, and i have no problem seeing a assistance dog, in a store or restaurant especially since these dogs are not pets they are well trained and very clean.

I agree that there are benefits of a hearing dog, in the absence of close, visual presence of another human being. I also feel it is something that can be abused by the hearing and partial hearing who primarily just want companionship. If it is the latter, I feel the dog should be classified as a companionship therapy dog, so that the true hearing dog and truly deaf owner can experience utmost respect in their public interactions.
