In the past 33 years since I was a new soldier I've met a number of Vietnam Vets and seen the despair and PTSD that was not only left untreated but also exacerbated by maltreatment because of 'the system', harmful caregivers and a selfish social clique. I've not ever experienced the ill treatment my predecessors received, and I am grateful for that.

This video speaks volumes for me and to whoever made it, Salute!

Every time I see this commercial, I have tears in my eyes at the feelings obviously felt by the gentleman who survived that nightmare, only to return to a country that treated him badly.

But the ending, when a young warrior thanks the old guard for his past service, and is thanked for that understanding/gratitude, REALLY makes me want to cry like a baby.

To all who have or are serving, no matter the time or war, THANK YOU!!! I wish you peace always.

I didn't see ANY Marine-I saw an active duty US Army soldier and a US Army 11th Cav veteran.

I was born in 1949, and also was proud to wear the Blackhorse patcch in Nam in 69-70. I believe this man is a VietNam vet. I too felt the rejection when I came home.I have learned to not let it affect the way I feel about those responsible. I marked it up to their ignorence. My life was continues to be full and for that I am grateful. I continue to pray for those who still suffer the scars of the Hell we all went through. God Bless them and God Bless the USA. We need it more now than ever.
