  • Ten four DL. But once again what is a BEC

  • @birdmanbl your ESC powers your servos you add a external bec and hook it up to your battery wires, u plug the ESC into the BEC and plug the BEC into the RX the BEC is now powering your electronics instead of the ESC, now the ESC will not get so hot and have less stress on it and your sevos should have better preformance depending on how many volts the BEC puts out. mine has 5 or 6V setting, my servos will handle 6 volts and move quicker at 6 volts.

  • Excellent and thanks

  • @birdmanbl did you do this, just wondering how much of a differene you noticed, on something like this that has small blades you wont notice it as much but if you have a 550 or 600 or 700 or something like that the blades must be spot on or it will fly like crap, bet even on small blades i noitce a good difference when they are balanced correctly.

  • Rodger that DL. What is the tape you like to use for the weighting process? thanks

  • @birdmanbl

i just use electrical tape.. some people use tracking stickers, just make sure the tape is good and sticky. and the edge if the tape is not where it's gonna get peeled off by the wind, so make sure you wrap the tape around the blades in the right direction so the wind would be pushing the tape down not tring to peel it off. if that makes sense

  • @birdmanbl perfect COG and balance on your blades will result in extremely smooth flying and a more responsive helicopter. if the cog or balance is off it can cause a lot of vibrations or wobbles and a less responsive helicopter depending on how bad its off.

i set online all day and research and soak up helicopter information, i like my helicopters to be flying at 120% i put a lot of time effort and precision into my set ups and it pays off IMO

  • How did u figure this out? Does it actually make any noticeabe difference DL?
