As a Linux user...I agree. There are so many Windows apps that simply can't run on Linux. That is unless you want to spend a day trying to tweak Wine so it works, and tell me how many people who don't already use Linux, will know how to fix a Linux that's broken.
But from what I remember, John has since come out praising Ubuntu, and the instant-on Linux distros that come built into some motherboards. So he has since changed his mind...somewhat.
I think the allure of Linux is the challenges that arise when working with it. That's why I have always liked it. You break something and try to figure it out. Oh yea and I rely on it at my job. :)
cant believe what these computer illiterates are saying, these asswipes are a bunch of nobodys, it is clear in the way they talk, this is a MS paid video, Linux cant use older apps , mac is having trouble using older apps, ??? u gotta be fucking kidding seriously,
CRANCKY GEEKS ??? ha ha , i just rolled on the floor. ur IQ has to be lower than 100 to believe in this shitty video
That's the single reason why Linux is not going anywhere, if that's what Linux requires of it's users, then the 90% of people will stay clear of using it.
@numenor20091 I'm sorry, where's the rebuttal. You have to do better than just belittling them, try to come up with a counterpoint.

maybe you need a nice coloured bib and a cloth to clean the crud as it dribbles down your chin junior, and don't fall off that highchair again?

Linux requires that you know what you're doing with a computer. No hand holding there.
You must know how a computer works to truly understand the linux kernel.
