The pick murder vs slayer has been debated on mtgsalvation to death, and the result(based on strong limitedplayers opinions) was that murder is better.

@smolensk83 I'm insulted that you dont think I'm a strong limited player :P

I don't think it's really that close to be honest. I'd take murder if I had more blue than just a grasp, but I'm nowhere close to commited to blue at this point, and I'll be able to at least splash the slayer no matter what. I think at any point in a draft where this pick comes up and you haven't yet commited to blue, the pick should easily be slayer. Also, if I'm straight white blue, I'm probably still taking slayer.

I think the Bonds of Faith vs Butcher Cleaver pick should of been Bonds and I think you got to greedy taking the Evil Twin you should of stuck to gw perhaps splashing blue for Grasp.

Also the debate Slayer vs Murder I think Slayer is an easy pick in that situation GW is much better colour combination than GU and the two cards are close enough in power.

P1P1 though I'd probably take the Murder just because I'm biased to towards UW and UB in this format.

@DraftMagic I actually think you are a strong limited player, but i also think you are wrong here. Everytime someone drops a murder the game just feels over, while i have seen slayer do nothing too many times. I think the popularity of white is the deciding point since

a) white is more heavily drafted

b) against a heavy white deck slayer is very underwhelming.

Slayer isnt that great of a splash anyway. You want him to hit the curve for him to be most effective.

Oh, and 16 lands? With 2 Grottos, and a manabase like that? There is no way on earth that was correct.

Also do not think you should have taken the Evil Twin, and Bonds of Faith was the pick over Butcher's Cleaver.
