If there were a Nobel Prize for stupidity Krugman would win it hands down.

Paul Krugman comparing the 101billion 1940 gdp number with the 250billion borrowed throughout the war to make it look like a 250% "stimulus". However the GDP in 1945 was $223 billion meaning debt was 116%

Keep up with Jim Rogers latest project to create a system that will hold politicians feet to the fire, and to put shackles on lobbiers so that they can no longer control the system. One day we might have a system that controled by the people and is for the people

  • @Pixiesforever7 brainwashed by keynsianism much? Krugman clearly said that a fake economy is good. i guess thats why he also advised for a housing bubble. nevermind that bubbles eventually pop and leave behind an even bigger depression.

  • @pixiesforever

For an interesting counter point to your perspective check out the "broken window fallacy".

  • Firstly, obviously Paul Krugman was speaking tongue in cheek so don't even pretend you think he was speaking literally.

Secondly, Schiff even shows his understanding of Krugman's metaphor for stimulus at the end by pointing out that if aliens destroyed everything it would necessitate a stimulus to rebuild everything. That's what Krugman was saying!!!

  • Wannabe 'El Rushmo' neocon prophylactic.

  • That's too funny.
