The Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia (also known as Little Armenia; Classical Armenian: Կիլիկիոյ Հայկական Թագաւորութիւն, not to be confused with the Armenian Kingdom of Antiquity) was a state formed in the Middle Ages by Armenian refugees fleeing the Seljuk invasion of Armenia.[1] It was located on the Gulf of Alexandretta of the Mediterranean Sea in what is today southern Turkey. The kingdom remained independent from around 1078 to 1375.

  • wow, really nice pics, although were most of these monuments built by Armenians or by a pre-colonial people?

  • its performed excellent. god bless all arminians

  • @hayerhayer go fuck yourself

  • what a beautiful place. Turks deny there was an Armenian Kingdom there for 300 years. just like they deny the Armenian Genocide. the history of Cilicia should be more available to the world including Armenians.

  • @gardengreens that's what you think but turks are the most nationalist people they will never understand what peace means that's what history shows us and people like you don't learn from history

  • The issue in question is not whether or if many Armenians died in horrible circumstances. The issue is, was it genocide? There was an on going bloody war. According to Russian military archives, still in existence, they had around 50 000 Armenian volunteers terrorising and killing the Turkish civilians. They were also harassing the Turkish army from behind. Armenians were not innocent bystanders. Ottomans knew something irregular happened. So they tried and hanged some Turkish officials.
