  • I would REALLY like to know what the toggle switch does...... I have never seen that on a AM NKT before......

    GREAT demos as always!

  • it's an on/off switch....instead of the knobbie being an on/off pot, he stuck a switch on it...

    ROCK ON!

  • @ScarletTheory Your talking about our left the NKT red light right? I think its amazing and super warm. I like fuzz but it has to be the right kind. Too much high end fizzyness and i'm out.

  • @AlembicPools TROLL!!!!!!! lol

  • ha ha ha ha how do you do it gearmanndude, HOW DO YOU DOU IT?!?!?!?!?! knocks me over every time

  • Looks like your boots are starting to shed their skin!! LOL

  • Once again, thanks for an excellent comparison. (Keep 'em coming. :))

  • Another great video. Really tells the tale of two sonic realms. The regular Sunface is pretty smooth, dare I say subtle. The high gain version gets very robot like at those higher levels. I need to get me one of those 275's!

  • Forgot the point I was going to make. My early NKT Sunface has a sundial, but no on/off toggle like yours and no on/off knob (and no LED). Just a footswitch, 2 knobs, and a sundial in the big box. early FF all the way. For silicon fuzz, I've been using my Throbak Overdrive Boost. LOVE that pedal. Hard to get used to, but so versatile. Most-dynamic OD/Fuzz I've heard. Pricey, but worth it (I got mine when they were cheaper). Also real-happy with my Sweet Sound Pro Bender (#21). Coolest fuzz I own

  • @gearmanndude

I have one of the early NKT Sunfaces (from early '03, I think). Pretty-sure it has the first-batch '60's New Market NKT's that Mike refers to on his Sunface page. I also have a Throbak Fuzz Haze. The Sunface just has that old-school, early, Arbiter FF sound in spades. Very-toneful, musical (Think Jimi's 1st album), while the Fuzz Haze has a lot more gain, but not as toney, musical (Still very-usable - You've actually convinced me to give it another shot at the gigs, so will do).

  • humbuggie hhhh

  • Hows does the Highgain work out with a LP? Or just humbuckers in general?
