This is me playing the theme song to Family Guy on trumpet. Enjoy!
Yes guys, I am using a mute in this video. It's a Harmon wah-wah mute.

Shameless self-promotion: Hey guys, I stumbled across this neat website that allows you to earn points doing simple, fun things, which in turn allows you to cash out points to get free stuff. It's super easy, I made $15 in two days doing practically nothing. Give it a try! It's completely free, and you get 250 points just for signing up. If you guys have any questions about this, message me on that site, and I can give you some tips. :)

  • sounds very old time jazz. kind of like it's got a mute on it, It might just be the sound quality though

  • @blackjacketrocks I used a Harmon wah-wah mute when I recorded this. :)

  • Good job, and just for the record, I like the way you added things and took the last G up an octave. One question, where do you go to find online sheet music?

  • @trumpetgenius95 A good source, if you're going to play more popular music, is YouTube. Just like my video, many YouTubers leave links to the sheet music they used. To be honest though, I don't know of a good place to get sheet music online. Whenever I try, I usually get some basic, useless stuff. Something I'd recommend to any trumpet player, is the Arban's. It's pretty much our Bible. You won't find the Family Guy theme song on there, but there's plenty of good stuff to keep you entertained.

  • @shadowzard7 If you really paid attention to the way I played, you would notice that I added much more than what was on the sheet music. I used staccatos, FP, and even swung some of the eighth notes. So, I suppose by your logic I'm playing the entire song "wrong" just because I chose to do something different than what's on the music. I think you'll find that changing what's sometimes written in music is crucial to being a musician.

  • When i found this it gave me a boner.....

  • does this sound EXACTLY like lois' voice to anyone else?

  • @trumpetgenius95 He just took a MIDI-file and put it in some notation program like Finale or Sibelius. You can tell by the way he didn't correct the mistakes :)

The c natural in m.3 should be a b sharp, the b flat in m.8 should be an a sharp, the e flat in m.10 should be a d sharp, the b flats in m.13 should be a sharps.

  • like for the vibrato fail at 0:27

  • my last name is Harmon, so in jazz band, everyone thinks its hilarious to put their trumpet bells against my shoulders and play.

  • @trumpetgenius95 usuly u buy it of some scam or u can make like music produsers

  • no itz not

  • this is in the wrong key, js

  • C# is 1and2 and the very high note at the end of the actual song is a high G (not the one shown here, one octave higher)

  • could someone tell me how to play C sharp

  • i think it would a c, no maybe e at the end? kaejltjaklt im not good at naming notes right off the bat ):
