This is a Variation from a piece I am working on called Theme Variations of a Brotherman. it's dedicated to my very good friend Russell Hays who left this earth too early, and is now in God's presence. Russell was an incredible violinist , and I was trying to compose a melody that would be something a violinist might play as my theme. When I would play my classical guitar for Russell he loved the sound of the tremolo technique used in many guitar compositions from Tarrega to Barrios. This Variation uses tremolo on every string, and incorporates it with third patterns with quick jumps to open strings. The variation has a Celtic like quality to it with a low E drone throughout. The Brotherman part of the title is what Russell and I called each other. Enjoy!

  • NICE POWER WINDOWS SHIRT!

  • @newton4prez Yeah! :) I have to support my favorite band! P windows is such a great album! :)

  • Hey Mescalation42 This is just the last variation of the piece and that's why it's short. I will be writing at least three other Variations to the Theme later. As far as the ending run, I did play notes that are jazzy passing tones outside the E major scale , and I am playing it with PAMI on every string. So I included some open strings and passing tones in there to match the right hand technique. come visit my website sometime thanks :)

  • SWEET!

  • Hi, For such a short piece it's a bit repetitive and the run at the end sounds inaccurate.
