You can tell the writers planed on having Gwen come back to Ethan, Why? because if Gwen was leaving for good and she didn't want anything to do with Ethan, Why didn't she admit that it was her and her mother that outted him as a bennett?

@craneville yeah she had backbone but not enough of it to permanently leave and as i remember she left harmony and ethan wasn't calling her back either, she decided to come back to harmony on her own
