  • In this application, we only used glue to adhere each layer. First, we glued 1 inch of foam board to the brick (with tons of adhesive), and we rigged up some 2x4s to apply pressure to the rigid foam for 24 hours. We repeated this step with another layer of rigid foam, and then with drywall. We did not leave an air gap. At the top and bottom of the panel, we caulked and used Great Stuff to ensure no air could get behind the insulation. Perhaps use long masonry screws for the drywall to brick.

  • Did you install the drywall by screwing wooden planks through the foam in to the brick? Then nail the dry wall to the plank grid? Did you leave an air gap? I need to insulate a foyer and need to do it taking as little space as i can. Thank you for any help you can provide.

  • So you used two layers of foam panels? Did you just attach your finish wall (ie: drywall or panel board) with wood strips? Any help would be great! Thanks for your time.
