The 2nd Annual HEAAT Foundation Anti-trafficking Gala was held on October 13, 2011 at The Chelsea Hotel in Atlantic City New Jersey. Musicians Gina Roché, Michael Pedicin, Jon Pruitt, Dean Carrigan, Doug Martin, Alex Siniari, and Jeff Caraway all performed and a silent auction was held.
The HEAAT Foundation is a private non-profit committed to supporting and advocating for victims and survivors of commercial sexual exploitation, forced labor, and domestic servitude. More specifically, HEAAT strives to build a coordinated community response to combat the perpetrators of this form of modern-day slavery. We seek to prevent all forms of human trafficking by raising awareness, educating, and empowering the community to take a proactive stance against this crime.
The trustees of The HEAAT Foundation began their mission as dedicated members of ATTAC, the Anti-Trafficking Taskforce of Atlantic County. In partnership with these long-term colleagues, The HEAAT Foundation is pleased to present the 2nd Annual Anti-Trafficking Gala. In addition to The HEAAT Foundation, this year's fundraiser will also benefit victims of human trafficking served by the Women's Center (of Atlantic County) and Covenant House Atlantic City.
Tina, thank you for all the work that you do. You make our little part of the world a better place.
