Osama - Afghanistan: Conflict of Interest - Patterns in Chaos - Part One

This film is dedicated to Daniel Pearl, Andy Skrzypkowiak and Mirwais Jalil - three journalists who were killed by Pakistani intelligence for their efforts to tell the truth about Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Part One of CONFLICT OF INTEREST sets out to turn the conventional understanding of Afghanistan and Pakistan on its head by demonstrating that American and British policy in the region has been conducted more in keeping with Pakistani interests than Afghan, or even our own. This unique exploration into the conflict in South Asia focuses light on the fact that Al Qaeda and the Taliban came into being through a willful ignorance by certain key U.S. officials, rooted not in anti-communist zealotry, but in their own personal financial gain.

The movie CHARLIE WILSONS WAR is an example of the scale of the misinformation campaign. After attending a studio preview of that movie, one Afghan gentleman was asked, What did you think? He replied, That asshole destroyed my country. CONFLICT OF INTEREST proves that Congressman Wilson was holding over half a million dollars worth of Union Texas Petroleum stock when he made his first visit to Pakistan in the fall of 1982. His was no mission of altruism. When asked for information about Wilson, one old Texas politician said, Im not going to do anything to glamorize that corrupt sonofabitch!

Since taking office, President Barack Obama and his envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistan, Richard Holbrooke, have both complained about the inadequacy of intelligence and the United States incoherent policy in the region. The stakes cannot be overstated. President Obama is currently deploying an additional 20,000 soldiers to Afghanistan, in an effort to correct the mismanagement of that campaign during George W. Bushs administration. It is no accident that the Afghan campaign was severely understaffed and under-funded for the past seven years. Since 2002, the word on the streets of Kabul has been that this situation would lead to an easy re-invasion by the Taliban which is exactly what has happened.

It is critical for our government and our soldiers trying to provide security to the Afghan people to understand what has been kept hidden all these years. Pouring sunlight on the subject wont necessarily put a stop to the human rights abuses being committed against the Afghan and Pakistani people, but it is a start.

Yeah ... Pakistan has a history of some 60 years and Afghanistan has a history of some 70 years, at most some 250 years. GREAT! *sigh* Both countries are sh*t and need to be torn apart, just like Yugoslavia. That's the only way to peace.

Afghanistan unlike the artificial build Pakistan has a long and proud history. Afghan pepole has defeated any invader. Afghanistan was throughout the history many time the center of world civilization.

In last 30 years Afghanistan has been invaded by Pakistan backed by US, GB, China Saudis and other Shaikh countries, however soon Afghan people will unite again and clean out the Pak dirts from the Government and Afgh villages.

There is a saying in Afghanistan that God created the earth and later on he was left with crap and garbage so he threw it in one place and created Afghanistan, they invited always miseries on themsleves by playing games greater than they are able to do, there psyche is based on murder, kill steal and than run to hide in a hole so no one could find them...long live USA
