Mountain top experiences have to come to an end - the Mount of Transfiguration

Our pilgrimage drew to a close as we went up Mount Tabor which for us was the Mount of Transfiguration. There we shared in prayers and reflections on Mountain Top experiences and the way they come to an end. The mountain top experience Peter James and John shared with Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration came to an end in a return to the arguments of the other disciples and their inability to make a difference to the family whose young son was desperately ill. 'I believe, help my unbelief' was the cry of the desperate father and it was enough for Jesus. Maybe it is enough for us too.
